We now have regular volunteers joining us in the Sensory Garden and the Elm Tree area who have worked so hard to make both areas look amazing. Its a fun and friendly environment with new people coming along and joining us all the time. If you want to garden or just pop in for a look around ochat, everyone is welcome.
It's really important to us as a committee to upskill and offer a range of additional things to our volunteers.
Big thanks to Nina from Henshaws for delivering 'Visual Impairment Awareness Training VIAT' for our volunteers in the sensory garden and online for anyone who couldn't attend.
It was a really informative and hands on session and we were able to experience what different impairments are like by trying on a variety of glasses, by using canes

It was a really informative and hands on session and we were able to experience what different impairments are like by trying on a variety of glasses, by using canes and trying to carry out a number of everyday tasks.
Not only will this training help when visually impaired people visit the garden but it will also help us in everyday life
Massive thanks to the British Red Cross for delivering a really informative First Aid Course this evening as always enormous thanks to our volunteers for taking the time to take part both in-person and online
